Skittles was a monastic game dating back to the fifteenth century so it is not surprising that we continue to support what is one of the oldest competitive sports that still thrives in the Southwest of England.
The Leagues
The Club supports two skittle alleys and has teams entered in both the ladies and gents divisions of the Axminster Skittle League, the Club’s Summer League and our own In-House Sunday Skittle League.

PLAY-OFFS DECIDE THE TOP POSITIONS !! – As predicted The Latecomers, Wootton Club and Thorncombe “B” came head to head in a play-off to decide the final league positions as all three teams accrued 20 points each. Play-Off Result, Latecomers top and Thorncombe “B” Runners-up.
Thorncombe “A” handed their Week 14 game to the Latecomers after they only turned up to the fixture with three players If the missing three managed to hit 48 pins each the result would have been in Thorncombe “A’s” favour !!
