Darts

Darts has been a key feature of club life for many years. The clubhouse is an ideal venue for darts playing – supporting a total of 13 boards if needed. The Darts section meet most Tuesday nights throughout the year (starting 8:30pm) in the form of:

  • Winter pairs competition (typically from October to April) open to any club members

  • Summer mixed pairs competition (June to September) – open to lady & man pairs of club members  

Many of our players also take part in the local town leagues with great success.

We also try to host a major Open Darts competition each year on a Sunday in early May – open to any players from the surrounding Counties. About 70 players compete in the open singles, 40 pairs and 10 ladies battle it out over 6 hours for total prize money of all the entry fees.

Also, after Christmas we hold a “local” open competition – typically for players in the Chard, Crewkerne, Axminster and Bridport leagues.
